This clinical trial is the first of its kind to randomly compare between&nbsp;TAF-based Biktarvy and TDF-based regimens (TDF\/FTC\/DTG).&nbsp;It was reported that Biktarvy was able to suppress HIV-1 RNA and HBV DNA in 99% and 80.2%, respectively, of the patients co-infected with HIV\/HBV with good long-term efficacy and safety at week 144. At 48 weeks, there was a rapid decline of HBV DNA but at&nbsp;weeks 90-96, the performance of both drugs were comparable.
