Biography

Anchalee Avihingsanon, MD, PhD is a specialist in infectious diseases. She has more than 18 years of experience working in the field of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and viral hepatitis research in a resource-limited setting. She is currently leads the clinical research program as the director of HIV-NAT, Thai Red Cross AIDS and Infectious Diseases Research Centre, a not-for-profit, research organization in Bangkok, Thailand and the Clinical Research Site (CRS) Leader for the Thai Red Cross AIDS and Infectious Diseases Research Centre (site 31802) for AIDS Clinical Trial group (ACTG). Sheconduct multicentered, international/regional/national clinical trials related to various aspects of HIV, TB, hepatitis and COVID 19. In Thailand, She is a member of the HIV expert working group and Thailand National Health Security Office; expert panel working group of the Thai Ministry of Public Health HIV/AIDS management guidelines; expert panel working group on antiretroviral therapy practice policy guidelines; committee on implementing antiretroviral therapy into the universal health care system, the AIDS Division, Ministry of Public Health; committee on Thailand National Hepatitis working group; AIDS TB committee; and the National Hepatitis committee.
