Gompol Suwanpimolkul, MD, MSc
Biography
Associate Professor Gompol Suwanpimolkul, M.D., is a faculty member in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. He is an infectious disease specialist with extensive experience in the clinical management, research, and public health aspects of tuberculosis (TB) and HIV-associated infections. His clinical and research work has focused on tuberculosis, including multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB), TB/HIV coinfection, and the optimization of TB diagnostic and treatment strategies in resource-limited settings. He has been actively involved in several institutional and national initiatives aimed at improving TB care and control. His contributions include the development of multidisciplinary TB service models, strengthening of infection control practices in healthcare facilities, and participation in clinical and operational research projects addressing TB diagnosis, treatment outcomes, and programmatic challenges.
