Asst. Prof. Chureeratana Bowonwatanuwong, MD

Asst. Prof. Chureeratana Bowonwatanuwong graduated with an MD degree from Mahidol University in 1975 and obtained a Board Certification in Internal Medicine from Chulalongkorn University Hospital in 1981. She has been caring for HIV/AIDS patients since the beginning of the epidemic in Thailand. She participated in research on PMTCT and the use of antiretroviral therapy in adults with HIV-NAT and PHPT, as well as HIV vaccine studies RV144 and RV148 under the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health. She has published academic works in both national and international journals. She has served as a member of national expert committees on antiretroviral drugs for the Ministry of Public Health and the Government Pharmaceutical Organization, and is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.
