Biography

Dr. Ong Hang Cheng is an infectious disease specialist and medical lecturer at the University of Malaya and the University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He obtained his MBBS degree from the International Medical University in Malaysia in 2009 and later earned his MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2015. Dr. Ong’s expertise includes infectious disease research, with contributions to projects on emerging zoonotic diseases, leptospirosis, melioidosis, long COVID, dengue and HIV management.
