It is with profound sorrow that I have received the news that Professor Joep Lange, Founder and Co-Director of HIV-NAT withinthe Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Center, as well as the other 5 delegates, who were attending the 20th International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, passed away in the tragic crash of Malaysia Airlines MH17 in eastern part of Ukraine.
I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy and condolences to you, and through you, to the bereaved families and all members of HIV-NAT for this irreparable loss of such the dedicated and leading figures in the AIDS research.
