In 2012, HIV-NAT Research Laboratory received the Thailand Biorisk Management Champion Award for its excellent management of Biosafety level 2 in clinical laboratory. This award was bestowed by the Department of Medical Sciences, Ministry of Public Health, to laboratories which serve as a model in Biorisk management.
