“Long-term Care and Disease Prevention in HIV Patients” Course Now Open for Application (course conducted in English)

HIV-NAT, Thai Red Cross Society, will organize a training program on “Long-term Care and Disease Prevention in HIV Patients” from 21-23 August 2013 at the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre on Rajdamri Road, Bangkok, Thailand.

This training program is under the ‘Medical Education Program in HIV in Asia’ and is supported by Gilead Sciences. The purpose of the Medical Education Program in HIV in Asia is to improve the HIV care in Asia by educating and mentoring key healthcare providers and key PLHIV volunteers with less experience in HIV care in selected Asian countries. It is expected that trained healthcare providers and PLHIV volunteers will further train and mentor their colleagues in their own country, and will create a network of HIV experts in the region that can further cross-consult, share experience and collaborate in advocacy activities and research.

All expenses related to participation in the program including air fare, airport transfer, accommodation and small per diem will be covered by HIV-NAT/Gilead Sciences.

We are now accepting applications from physicians from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

If you are interested in attending the training program, please write to praneet.p@hivnat.org by 30 June 2013.
